Grace Wynne – Accompanist Since 2017
Meet Grace Wynne, Setanta’s accompanist since 2017.
Grace Wynne is a teacher of music as well as an accomplished performer. She
qualified as a music teacher from Trinity College Dublin following the completion of her degree there in which she specialised in music composition. During this time she also studied piano under Niamh McDonough in the D.I.T. Conservatory of Music & Drama and sang in the Trinity Chapel Choir. This sparked her interest in choral music and performance. When she began teaching at secondary school level she worked part-time with Music Generation and trained in the Kodály Method. She attended the Irish Composition Summer School on two occasions as well as the International Choral Conducting Summer School. She was fortunate to have the pleasure of working with and learning from her first piano teacher, Anne Quinn, when she joined Setanta Choir. In 2017 Grace became the full time accompanist for the choir. She has always enjoyed playing with other musicians and singers and thrives on being involved in the creative process of making and performing music.
